Bistro L'Olivo in Bonn

Simple but very tasty dishes. Very generous portions. Friendly and attentive service. If you don't manage your portion (happens more often ;-), you will be offered to take the rest with you without being asked. Furnishing is very simple, it's a trattoria and not a restaurant. In this location and due to the inconspicuous appearance, one does not expect such a culinary gem. Be sure to order the starter platter! Please support this trattoria during the lockdown! It's open on the weekends and sells outside the home. The timing to pick up works on the minute.

I can only recommend it. Food is always fresh and simply delicious. Very nice wait staff and if you can go out to eat again, also small and cozy. Simple Italian flair.

Cozy little osteria with good food

The decorations on the tables and throughout the restaurant are appropriate and stylish. The toilet is always clean and all in all the restaurant gives a nice impression. The staff worked brisk, clean and friendly. The taste is mostly a treat. The portions are in a good and filling dimension, my husband and I are absolutely pleasantly surprised. We will definitely come back.

In the meantime, we have been to L’Olivo several times and it has always convinced us of taste and the whole picture!

Trattoria is a great hint to get real pure italian food. My recommendation is to have your next meal at Trattoria Olivio. It smells like native olive oil, great!

Very rich food

The portions are very generous and the food was delicious. Pasta dishes, especially filled outweigh in the menu. But there are also some meat dishes. I miss a little fish dishes. The service is very attentive and friendly. A bit awkward is the walk to the toilet, as you have to go out of the restaurant.

It tasted wonderful. I have not eaten that well for a long time. We're looking forward to next time. A very very nice friendly little family business

The food is delicious. Everything family-run. The family goes out of their way and the cook cooks great. All ingredients are super fresh. Unfortunately too small tables. A bit cramped.

Perfect. Delicious. Everything is freshly prepared. Innovative and very large portions. Friendly service. It could be a little more vegetarian / vegan options are offered. But otherwise there is nothing to criticize.

because of the many good reviews we went there sometimes - and were not disappointed! Delicious food at reasonable prices and a friendly service, as previously many others had stated. Small and cute, decorated for Christmas, really comfortable! That you have to leave the restaurant for a visit to the toilet is a bit unusual, but it can not cloud the positive impression. We will definitely be back!

Much better than the name 'Bistro' suggests. It is relatively small and yet very comfortable. Despite almost full capacity we have easily got a place for 2 people, without reserving. Although almost all seats were occupied, the service staff managed to ensure that everyone quickly got their drinks and food as well. Our two-table did not feel neglected. The dishes are all very well thought out, the taste is everything an experience. The wine recommendation went well with the dishes and the price was perfectly calculated

This is a beautiful small restaurant. Everything was absuletly delicious. They didnt have an english menu but server helped explaining the menu items. I recommend the Tortufo as a desert choice.

This Italian is an absolute insider tip in Bonn! Great food. The best ingredients. Handmade pasta. Like in Italy. The bruschettas are to die for. Don't be fooled by the nondescript exterior of this bistro. The quality is all the better. You can sit nicely both inside and outside. The service is very friendly. The changing daily offers are particularly recommended.
